Ha ha ha, I loved the surprising end to bring everything into perspective here and doberman dogs are good at guarding the house and they are a bit scary too, much enjoyed, I was entertained here, love Dolly x

Love this point of view! We're thrown into the action immediately and we're not sure who the protagonist is till the end. That's interesting. I love the details as they are revealed (e.g. in the army) and the pacing of the story too. The balance of short and long sentences add to the rhythm of the story telling. I look forward to reading the rest of the story!

Excellent

This is an excellent Flash Ficion for the contest, heavy enough to have some meat on its bones, yet with a satisfying twist in the tale. I enjoying pondeing exactly why the man had targeted the house for attack. The fact that this was never referred to added strength to the flash in my opinion - mystery is always good. kay
