I enjoy your poetry so much I recognize your style even though you entered a blind contest. This is another very romantic piece that I can relate to. My husband and I have been married 50 years. You are quite fortunate that your Prince Charming came in on his horse and took you away. You dreamed a dream that came true. Best wishes in the contest.

Lorraine, you are so sweet. Yes, I was on a roll this week when it came to love contests. I told my husband, and he asked if I stretched the truth at all and I said, no, I just wrote that I kissed a frog and it made a prince out of him. He actually believed me. We haven't quite made the fifty years yet, but we have been together for over that amount of time. We will be married 49 in May, but there was no room on the line to say that. Lol. And I just figured since it is so close, nobody would mind a little minor detail.
However I congratulate you on that many years and only very special relationships can make it that long. We are blessed to have gotten this far, dear friend. You and I both. We always keep in mind that someday one of us will be looking at an empty chair, and with that thought, it shows how silly little quarrels can be.... Thanks for your lovely review my friend. And such beautiful words. Blessings to you and your hubby for many more happy years together.

Very well written. Yes we all dream of happily ever after. For me, the bubble finally popped and reality set in. Oh well, maybe only in my dreams will my prince come!!!!! Lol. All the best to you. Thank you for sharing.

I really give special appreciation to those who have found the understanding and love that lasts a lifetime. Words are searched but the perfect ones seem just out of reach but to the fortunate few. I liked the song as well.
