Light hearted look on being I'll. I like your attitude. Just a small suggestion if I may, "I've ridden this old horse
called the flu
farther than I wanted too..." To rather than too. Otherwise excellent poetry. Thankyou for sharing your thoughts.

Seems unlike years ago when doctors would prescribe a penicillin to combat the flu, today they tell you to fight through it.
I don't what changed or when.

I think you captured the pains and monotony and helpless feeling you get while experiencing the flu. As it drags on, and you lay there like a piece of lead, shivering and boiling by turn, it tries one's patience to say the least. Prayers for your recovery. estory
