The wheels of justice turn slowly, but turn none-the-less. I'm enjoying your style of writing where you allow the reader to know certain things while waiting for the detectives to find out. Hopefully Fenton will share what he knows. Great chapter.

Thank you, Lorraine. I like to be Hansel and Gretal and leave a bread crumb trail until the reader sees the full picture. I know that sometimes it gets confusing but I hope it doesn't take away from the story. I appreciate all your support.

I believe I heard through the grapevine that he might be hanging out in Nashville or somewhere in those Smokey Mountains. He just might come riding in for the rescue.... or maybe not. Thank you so very much for your thoughtfulness and the stars. I hope you find the next chapter interesting as well.

It seems that Hank and Emmy hit a nerve when trying to glean some information about the diamonds, but Elizabeth retrieves the situation created by Hank being a little ham fisted through ignorance. But there is a connection with Cooper operating on Rudy and the diamonds, beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy

This scene is good. Cooper is very convincing, firstly as a good son who wants to protect his mother, secondly as a decent man who is just tired, but wants to help. The relations between Cooper and Elisabeth, and the mutual connection between Elisabeth and Emmy are the best thing.

It is difficult to asess one chapter from a novel with a complex plot. The conversation is well managed and drives the plot forward. The character of Elizabeth is well developed. An element of suspense/threat could be more developed.
