As a man who has watched his children, his grand children, and now his great grand children grow and prosper. This wonderful tribute poem touched me where I live. To me there can be fewer treasures greater than the pleasure of watching people who are alive and in the world because of you. Grow and prosper as adults, due largely to your influence in their lives. Congratulations of your success as a parent/grand parent.

Thanks so very much Nomi. I truly appreciate your sweet words for my granddaughter and her poem. I agree there is a special feeling, especially when you see their traits that they inherited from you. My favorite is to see them love the Lord and follow the path meant for them. Thank you again my dear brother and my very dear friend. I have truly missed you!

I am sorry but I forgot to also tell you thank you for the generous six stars as well as the lovely review and kind words. Thanks again my very dear friend!

Aw shucks, You flatter me.

Here I am and here I shall remain for as long as the good lord will allow me to stay. During all that time I shall remain your devoted and supportive friend.

The author's words are filled with love, admiration, are descriptive and
creative. I thought about how Confirmation is so special for our youth today. The poem flows and connects well. The artwork is awesome and compliments the words and theme of this poem.
Debi, have a great week!...Maria

Thank you Maria for such very kind words for my sweet girl and her poem.
I call her ClaraBoo every year about this time every year. She loves basketball and has played since second grade, but broke her arm when she rolled their dune buggy this August. So my daughter had her back to the Dr last week and when they measured her, she is now 6' 2", and only turned 16 a couple weeks ago. Unfortunately her basketball is done for this year. But she is handling it and says she could use the break. (Not the arm break, the BB break, lol). Thanks again my dear friend for your very kind words for her poem and as always, so nice to hear from you.

I wish her and you all the best that life has to give. Clara is lucky to have a grandmother in you, my friend. She looks like she can have a fun time and still mind her elders. I hope you get well soon and I wish you a speedy recovery!
Have a happy Halloween!

I love basketball too! But I am only five foot four so I only play pick up games in the park. I hope you get better soon and post new work although these posts show your ability to post no matter what!
Please have a good time tonight!

Nannies can be, and are in fact allowed to be, biased. This is an absolutely beautiful tribute to your grand-daughter. I hope her confirmation goes well. May the Faith she carries with her today carry her through life.

This is a lovely and blessed tribute to your granddaughter ClaraBelle as she is confirmed. I am sending good energy on all levels. I forgot what the benefits are from it. It was a few years ago. Oh yuh, that was when we were to take an oath to not drink. We were told if we didn't want to take it, we could just move our lips. Ironically, my brother who never did drink, just moved his lips. So weird.

Congratulations to ClaraBelle!! I'm so happy to hear of her confirmation today. Are you part of a Lutheran or Catholic church? Not all churches have a confirmation ceremony. Thank for sharing all the grandmotherly desires for our children and grandchildren for protection and for always following Jesus!
One suggestion:

First my lovely friend, I thank you with all my heart for your kind words that I know you feel the same where your family is concerned. I believe that Clara will follow the Lord and at least do good works through her faith. I will send you a picture of her and Glen. Bridget, my youngest told me that at a Dr appointment last week they did her height and she is almost 6' 2" now. Of course her dad is 6'6". It was so hard to miss today and when my daughter sent me the picture of her and Glen, I just cried, but it wasn't meant to be.. I wrote the poem and made a plaque or more canvas art on a frame a couple weeks ago. I have been making gifts for people with them. At least before I got sick. I thought that I was feeling a little bit better today, but then later in the afternoon it got really bad again. So back in bed again. I actually stayed home alone but was strong enough to get in wheelchair by myself. But maybe I overdid it. I just have a faster recovery plan in mind than God and I best listen to His plans, not mine. Thanks also for all you do for me, poems, reaching out, prayers and caring words. You are one of a kind and I just love you more than you could know. I also appreciate the six stars and your feedback. I must have been changing that as you were reading because someone else mentioned it too. So thank you again my beautiful friend!

Oh, please take it easy, Debi. I know you want to run marathons but please recover first. My youngest daughter has long Covid and it's been seven months of occasional fatigue and numbness and brain fog. If she does too much one day, she feels awful for days. So please take it easy. I hope someone videotaped the ceremony so you can watch later! 💖

What a precious picture of your granddaughter, Debi. She looks
so happy. I'm thrilled for her with her confirmation. Your poem is
straight from your huge heart. I like the font choice--it seems to
me to look like the author, you, are writing this at your desk. I'm
so sorry you were not able to attend. I'm sure though, you will have
many stories told and pictures to share of the awesome event. Your
words are well thought out with good rhymes, and they create great
imagery. ClaraBelle is a blessing to your extended family, and I'm
sure to those people she meets every day. I believe she will treasure
this poem for all time.
Thanks for sharing, Jan

Thanks so much Jan, as I do truly appreciate all your kind comments. As hard as it was to not be there, the most Important is that she was confirmed.
That is what means the most to me. Now that I have your email.I will send you a picture of my husband Glen(grandpa) and her. It will give you an idea how really tall she is. It's hard to imagine by the cute childhood picture I used. Thanks again my very dear friend!

Hi Debi, your poem is beautifully penned from the giving and Christian heart of a Grandma. I loved how you referenced Clara's different stages in life. I know that you would have been with Clara if you could have been. More importantly, Clara know it. You are a Grandma to be proud of. Clara is lucky to have you as her Grandmother like you. I especially liked:
In sixteen years and six feet tall, you've faced all with a smile
You've lived your life so far, with an exemplary style
(And what a Style she has!)
Well-chosen, fun photo. A pleasure to read. Silky rhyming couplets. A pleasure to read. Keep the blue waters flowing. Margaret ~ LateBloomer

Hi Margaret, I am kind of slacking on answering reviews but I know you understand. Thank you my sweet friend for this lovely review and sweet words for my ClaraBoo. I don't think she likes it when I call her that but told her it is only for one month every year. I truly appreciate you giving this the very generous gift of six stars. They shine as bright as my love does for her. (And you) So thank you again my very dear friend. Your sotu, Debi
