This is a very real account of what many parents might think and feel when learning unexpected news. This story is vulnerable and honest. I like the vocabulary words used such as gaggle, as took me into the room with the character. I gave this review 5 stars because of my personal preference for imagery. As a reader I really enjoy imagery.

What a day! All the emotions and pain of childbirth is enough for one day let alone the roller coaster of emotions upon finding out everything may not be okay. How is your son, if you don't mind me asking?
Thanks for sharing your moments, and good luck in the contest.

Hi Faith, thanks so much for your review, I really appreciate it.
My son is wonderful! And he?s now 34! :-)
He had none of the health problems that the dreadful paediatrician predicted, he reads, writes, been riding a bike since 7 AND plays football! Ha ha I felt so angry with that man for a very long time (probably still do if truth be told), that he could be so negative as to make us believe that Ben would be better off dead!
If you?d like to know more on how Ben turned out, do have a look at some of my other stories (he?s such an amusing character), all bar one, are about him!
Ha ha me a doting mother? No! . . . Hmm, okay maybe a bit. Lol

This was a very emotional read and I really liked it. I enjoy reading stories like this because a retrospective look back at an impossible truth often reveals such a positive and compelling ending. Makes me wanna hold my loved ones closer

Aww Will thank you. And yes, hold your loved ones as close as you possibly can.
I?m so pleased you liked it, and Ben turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me, ha ha I just wish I?d known he would at the time!
Thank you so much for your lovely review.
