These sort of remembrances should be published so that we are reminded how difficult it was to have a member of the family go off to war and those at home never know if they will return, there positivity in letters sent home and sometimes these are the only words some families are left with, a poignant write Mary, love Dolly x

This was so beautifully done. I really felt like I could hear the soldier's voice. You made it realistic that he couldn't share where he was or what he as about to do so he wrote it in his head. I guess V-mail could be for Victory, or veteran or maybe in this case, Virtual. Thanks for sharing and congrats on your 100th post, Mary!!
