Para 8, 3rd sentence: SUGGEST Inserting (a high) between (at) and (speed)
Para 12, 2nd sentence: (much loved) should be (much-loved) Hyphens are always used when two adjectives modify each other and NOT the noun.
Para 13, 1st sentence: Remove comma after (attempted) Use comma to separate incomplete clauses. The 2nd clause is incomplete - no noun.
Para 15, 1st sentence: Remove comma after (hero) Use comma to separate incomplete clauses. The 2nd clause is incomplete - no noun.
Dogs are too much. I know they know who their owners are and they WILL protect them. I just love it.
Great, heart-warming story.

Thanks for your fine review Gary. I have checked your suggestions, and I have come to the conclusion that we use commas differently over here. For example we can use them for pauses even in those sentences with conjunctions (such as "and" and "but", if we want the reader to pause slightly. Conversely if we don't want the reader to pause we don't use a comma even after an adverb. eg I would not use a comma after "finally". "Finally we saw it coming!" as that is how I would want it read, not "Finally, we saw it coming!" as that to me implies the bus coming was the final event after a series of preceding events - which is not what I want to say. We may have to agree to disagree about such points.
nevertheless, thank you for going to all the trouble and taking the time to think it through.
Always appreciated.

Our furry friends are so special. They love us unconditionally and we're always hearing stories like this - how do they know? How do they recognize the dangers?
Thank you for sharing this story of your special friend and hero. Well told and heartwarming.

They are so intuitive, they dense moods, danger, and sometimes even illness. I have heard of dogs even warning their epileptic owners about imminent seizures. Thanks so much for a super review.

Your story is well written, Wendy. It demonstrates how quickly accidents can happen and I am glad that Rusty was willing to risk his life for your friend. Glad that he recovered.

Very nice story. Nicely written.
There is no question that dogs have varying degrees of emotions and attachments, loyalties. They have proven over and over to be brave and selfless.
Best wishes.

What a wonderful dog story! I'm partial to dogs and to stories, and this was told in a special way. When a story is so imprinted on your mind that your memory keeps returning to it, you know you have read a good story. It may not be in a contest, but it's a winner for me!

Thank you for sharing this hero with us. Dogs do remarkable actions on a regular basis and rarely get the praise they need for it. I enjoyed reading. I have a three-legged granddog, because of an accident with a car.

Either way, fact or fiction it is an inspirational tale recalling a different era when life was a lot less complicated and sentient beings mattered more- thanks for restoring our faith in both humans and canines!

Thank you Zanya, for your lovely review. The story is mostly true, but some of the details are a bit blurred in my mind. You are right - life was less complicated in those days.
