I really enjoyed reading your story. You told it well. I especially like the way the little girl spoke. Thank you so much for sharing, and best wishes to you.

I enjoyed your story, Mike. You did a great job with the descriptive
details, the great dialogue, and the theme. This one really tugs at
one's heart to think about the reason for such a place. The Teacher
reminded me of Jesus gathering little children together to teach
them. You described the beautiful place for all the little ones
compared to the place they'd been.
Has she moved closer; Toni kneels in the grass.-->As she. . .
Thanks for sharing and caring, Jan

My heart is heart with distress of children, like you, I hope that Teacher is Jesus, I heard a story that a hoy who went to Heaven, heard that children taken before their tome, including miscarriages, are taught by Jesus. This is beautifully written Mike, blessings Roy

What a beautiful thought and a wonderful story! I know God looks after those little ones. It's sad how today's society has places so little value on unborn lives.

This was a terrific post. It's chocked full of emotion, and the detail in the imagery really made this journey to meet this angel of an unborn child in the old plantation yard come alive. I loved how you started it off with your wife hearing that faint angelic voice in the distance and then the scene of the children laughing and playing and singing was terrific. The conversation with the little girl on the steps of the old house with all the allusions to the 'teacher' clearly are meant to define a moment orchestrated by Jesus. I think it also speaks subtly to the abortion issue and clearly places this in favor of life and redemption, resurrection and real justice. There's a lot going on here and it is all really well imagined and crafted and brought to life. Super job with this my friend. One of your best. estory

This is a beautiful story, Mike. Wouldn't it be wonderful if all damaged or lonely children could find themselves in such a beautiful place? Thanks for sharing

I believe God takes them in. Jesus said "Suffer the little children to come unto me." They are taken care of. It's the living ones who suffer. Adoption is too expensive. Children need love. Many grow up without ever knowing love. This was a good story. Well done, Mike. Nancy:)
