What a tragic event. How lucky that the loss of human life was so slight (in relation). I very much enjoyed your poem rich in imagery. And thanks for the explanation of what made it modern. Kate xx

I don't answer more often, as I follow above all the "two-way road" rule for reviewing. But I always read. Kate xx

That is one powerful earthquake. I would have been eleven, and do not remember hearing or reading about the quake. However, that was huge. Thank you for the awareness. The picture goes perfectly with the story. Than you for sharing.

I can remember hearing about that earthquake on the news. It was a terrible and destructive quake, if I recall. Your poem is written in your usual lovely style. The artwork is perfect for the subject of the writing. Nicely done.

Yes, that earthquake was really shocking! Mare (AlaskaStory) wrote about this event in her book for kids. It is still talked about today by Alaskans. Great poem to remember this event.

For kids? I think it would be a scary subject ... in my opinion.

Oh, it was well done. The Spirit Basket gives each big event in Alaskan history as lived through and experienced by a child.
