Again? It seemed Susan was much more innocent and not likely to be lured into the strong advances of her student. But you did drop some hints at her observations of how much he's matured from freshman year. You also show us the lack of romance in her own marriage.
Your timely "touchdown" cry fits right into the story that is not told but remembered.
My reaction to Susan - is call the plumber - you're not supposed to flush stuff like that!
Best wishes in the contest.

Thank you very much.

You've addressed a topic that is probably far more common than we know. Teacher's lives have been destroyed; others actually married their students after they graduated. You've done an excellent job writing this, Lance. It kept us all wondering where it would end. Good luck in the contest.

I never would have expected that story to come from that prompt. Your story was captivating from the beginning to the very end. Thank you for sharing, and best wishes to you.

What a sad story to read. It is apparent from the story the young woman feels she places second in her husband's life, but took a very wrong turn by sleeping with one of her students. You did a great job. Good luck in the contest. Shirley

This is a very strong contest entry. I would have to say this 'teacher' and I use the word teacher loosely has no business teaching. I do know that it is a reality but still those teachers, whether a man or woman shouldn't be in education. I enjoyed reading and wish you luck with the contest. I've read a few entries and there are some excellent entries.

Good handling of the husband as such a football addict he's not paying attention to anything else. That might be some explanation for Susan's behavior. Still, she's a fool. As Clinton said, "Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me." Alex certainly does a snow job on her, buttering her up before it leads to their having sex again. No risk? No harm? Susan will probably come to feel differently. She feels the guilt once she gets home. Just a thought--I wouldn't advise flushing panties down the toilet. You never know about the plumbing. Excellent writing. judi

I remember reading a story about "Teacher's Pet" about teacher Susan having an affair with her student. She kept it quiet. Now he came back and they did it again.
Will it be a part 3?
Well done and good luck.

No, Lance, I won't insert myself into your fiction. Still it is a subject most men can relate to. Maybe women, too.
I like your sure-footed skirting of the subject that will always be taboo.
I also like your decision to reveal the teacher as a serial offender. We might tolerate a one-time 'slip' under certain circumstances, but a pattern of bad behavior can't be sloughed off as a moment of weakness.
Well done, Lance, and best of luck.
Peace, Lee
