I love that I can relax and just read your stories - I'm not spending the whole time looking for spag.
This was an entertaining continuation - plausible dialogue and reactions. I like that you explore different thinking about how payouts might affect things. Well written indeed.

Whoa! This is extremely exciting! Even though I have to admit that I missed the first one, so after I read this over twice, I realized that this was not going to be the same as skipping the directions to put a hammock together and if all fails, read the directions type of thing. So I found the first one, read it and realized what Sam, dirty dealing Super Lawyer was up to. This story is fun, has an interesting twist and a intriguing plot. Heck, if I'd known someone may pay their offspring later on,I might have gotten a sperm donor too. JK! I am truly enjoying this thrilling story and excited for what is to come next. Thanks Terry for the amazing story! See you in part 3.

Near the end of the story I started to suspect that the lawyer was the actual donor. I totally agree that the money should be more evenly distributed as no one in the family other than the mother did anything to earn the money in the first place. I could certainly see how there would or might create animosity among the siblings who did not inherit any money, especially since there was such a large amount of money involved.

Seems Leslie's husband has some serious (jealousy?) issues with Sam ~~ none so much that he wouldn't send Leslie back to renegotiate finances!
(I'm foreshadowing the kickback when/if it's revealed that Sam IS the perm donor!)
Leslie is a smart one. She questioned right away why Sam wouldn't have had to run that financial restructuring by "his client." Hmmm.

I will accept the fact that this is a fiction story. Getting my head around it wasn't that easy, and to have an arbitration to divvy the gift was dangerous at best.

I'm so glad you are continuing the story! It seems Leslie's husband is the real a-hole. I'm not sure why he's so hostile. Maybe he feels some inferiority complex. It was very nice of Sam to be so generous and flexible. I wonder who his wife is and if she knows about all decisions...

Helen, thank you for reading. This is a very different effort on my part. We will see how it goes. You may not remember in part one, Sam was introduced as 76, alone, his wife of more than 40 years had died a couple of years back. The next part will be posted Wednesday.
