Thank you so very much Bill, for your lovely review of this poem about telling some things about us. It was never my intent to share so much, but as I got closer to the end I felt something nudging me to ask for prayers. And.I thank you my dear friend for them. At the time being I am still in icu in the hospital but praying for things to start turning around. Thanks again my friend!

I've only just read your poem to review it and can see how family and faith and your own loving nature have carried you through major difficulties. Your words have a friendly, upbeat feel to them.... then I read at the bottom about the major surgery you are facing. Your positive outlook, our prayers, and God walking with you, will combine to see you through this successfully.

Thank you so much LisaMay. When I wrote the poem, I had no intent of telling about my Lupus and that I was crippled and in a wheelchair. Mostly because If I try to throw myself a pity party, I make sure Jesus is first and the only one on my guest list. He will make sure I don't stay too long and always have a humble ride back. But by the time I got to the last stanza, something just kept nudging at me, saying most of you are my Christian friends, and that I could really use the prayers. So I thank you so much for them, as I know they always help and when sincere they're always heard. My surgery went well and according to surgeon they are very hopeful that with hard work, it should be as hoped for and that the leg is straight again too, so I am so very excited. Thank you again my dear friend.

Oh Teri, you are so so sweet and caring. When I wrote the poem, I had no intent of telling about my Lupus and that I was in a wheelchair. Thank you also my beautiful friend for the special prayers and the loveliest of words. Love you you too my friend and sister in Christ!

Thank you so much Terry! When I wrote the poem, I had no intent of telling about my Lupus and that I was crippled and in a wheelchair, yet I know that I have shared a little of it with you and just a few others. I didn't share with others I didn't want to seem like I am asking for sympathy, because If I try to throw myself a pity party, I make sure Jesus is first and the only one on my guest list. He will make sure I don't stay too long and always have a humble ride back. Debi,
I am so sorry to learn of your infirmity, but know that your faith will carry you where your legs cannot. This is amazingly open and forthright. You are blessed to have family to help you maneuver through life's challenges.

This sort of work is impossible to critically review. It seems that it is too close to being critical of your life. I won't do it.
I will, though, pray for your surgical success and full recovery.
Bless you.

Hello there Wayne. I am out of surgery and in my room, as of about 6 PM. They tell me that they feel it was a success and I do believe all the prayers from my many friends here played such a role in that. Even though it was never my intent to share that particular bit of info. I have never been the type to feel sorry for myself, nor did I want anyone else to and is why very few knew of my health issues and inability to walk. However, when I got to the last stanza, something kept nudging for me to add that and ask for prayers. So I thank you my dear friend for being kind, as I know you can appreciate that I wrote it with a good deal of emotions, the day before surgery and feeling much apprehension. And I thank you mostly Wayne, for your prayers!

Hello Debi a good day to you. I hope this review finds you well. As a poet/writer it is always interesting to see the different takes on these contest/writing prompts. I think your take is definitely a good one and I'm sure others will too. Good job and good luck in the contest.

Good descriptions straight from your heart. I see you wear it on your sleeve for everyone to see. All the best with your surgery and I hope all works out well. And, whatever you do keep on writing. Well done and good luck in the contest.

Being tested is God's way to make us stronger, so you must be the strongest woman of your clan. Thanks for being my on-line buddy. I love your testimony that He lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you through these travails. Tom H

Thank you so very much Tom. I am so glad the first one is done. They said they put metal rods and other hardware in the leg and a new knee to boot. He said it was a success and that with the next one hopefully I will walk again and Christmas is what they are giving me for a goal. Although the pain is bad, I don't like what the meds do to my head. But since I will be in the hospital for a while, I feel the need to write, so who knows, what I may end up with when I am done with my next one. Thanks for being one of the best friends ever. And for the caring thoughts and prayers. I know they all helped!

My world would be less favored without you, Deb. Do as you're told but as bold as your spirit allows.
