An interesting piece. The flow is good. The images are clear. The language is warm and friendly. The piece stays on point. The summation is as expected.
Thanks for a good read.

One way to look at it. Love is without definition, and if it ever is, then heaven above, no more love? Nice piece. Usually read fiction, but in love where is the crossover? Keep up the good work.

lovely. lovely. and well put.
I like the creative ways you described love, insightful.
Love is definitely not a disease - unless it is allowed to morph into it, unhealthily. And then that is not really love.
Good luck in the contest.

This is a good commentary on love. I'm not sure about the statement love is not preventable. I suppose it isn't, if only the heart is involved, but I would never allow on my heart to make the decision. My brain has to have some say so in the matter as well. If not I would put it down to infatuation and move on.

What a philosopher you are. Regarding:When love is lost, it breaks your heart. But you don't need surgery. Did you read my free verse poem titled "Separation"? It addresses that situation.
Your brief dialogue about knowing you are loved brought tears to my eyes. It reminded me of how much my late husband cared for me.

This piece carefully points out the myths regarding love and the author shatters these myths with a more intimate perspective that love may be the ointment for the same wounds it is believed to cause. A solid stance!

Hi,
Well, you hit hard and then slide right into to the cure. It's like a slap in the face from rejected love, only to be caressed back to the warm-longing arms of love.
A great start, and an even better finish... 'Because she took my hand, held it, looked at me, and said, thank you.' I love that line... and just a suggestion, the comma after 'looked at me and said' in my opinion doesn't need to be there. The pause is the thank you.
But that is just my two-bobs worth, and in the scheme of things does not take away from this well constructed little story.
All the very best in this contest.
With our thoughts we create...
added protection.
Kind regards,
James.

James thank you, I will take a look at your suggestion.

My pleasure... and it's only a suggestion. I thought your poem was witty, touching and had that ring of forever attached.

I made the change, I think you are right.

I was drawn in by your provocative title and then enchanted by the descriptions you gave of what love really is and what it means. I loved that last line, Even when hearts are broken. Love heals.

I think your comment on love is very good and accurate. Your evidence of love is interesting and not what people usually say. I'm not too crazy about your title, but I wish you the best of luck in the contest about love.
