I enjoyed this story. It fits the theme of the supernatural but at the same time it is caring and gentle. I did wonder if the ending could be different - that she wasn't frightened by them waving, but felt a sense of peace and connection. But of course it's your story, and it is excellent. I wish you success for the contest.
