This piece of dribble flash fiction was very funny! I would definitely not have expected the person running on the field to be a runaway pig. Thanks for sharing!

LOL I have read a few entries for this contest. I can honestly say this one caused me to laugh out loud. Probably because all of my boys played football, it just seemed extra funny. Good luck.

Thank you Barbara!! I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Did you watch the little video? It's quite funny. Poor pig was quite a long way from his home! Thanks for your good wishes.

Hehehe, this is very funny, I'll have to look up those idioms, "pigs can fly", saving one's bacon. They are incredibly clever creatures I believe, perhaps that's why it was forbidden to eat them in the Hebrew and Islamic cultures, beautifully written dear Wendy, good luck, blessings Roy

You draw us in then spit us out. Or perhaps more correct a Chinese finger trap. By the way, how does one get a picture to post with an entrant to a contest using FanStory? If I rarely get anything it's a picture of something already used and attached to someone past contests.get

Thank you Tom for reviewing.
I google "image of ..." (whatever I want) then choose "Save image as ..." with a name linked to the contest. Then in the "Enter competitions" click on "image from my computer" and find the one you saved. Double click on it. It should appear in a small box asking you if this is the correct picture and if you want to continue. Say Yes (or else try again). It should then be with your entry. Let me know how you go.

Hi Tom, your review has come to me twice. Double thanks. I just answered your question about getting an image. Hope it works for you.

Nice entry. I may join the fun. You had me going right up until the last line. It's tough getting a story in with so few words, but you have managed it.

Thanks for reviewing. I'm glad you took the bait and I reeled you in. I just read your excellent entry - now why did you have to write such a good one?!!

LoL ! You and Lisa May have kept us apprised of fun news stories! I like how you kept the identity of the porcine runner who was trying to avoid becoming bacon until the very end!

Nothing is as pleasant and a laugh early in the morning!!! I love it -- not a smile, but a genuine. I was sold right down to the last line and with the football parody of pigskin - even better. Good writing. ann

Thanks so much Ann. I?m very glad you enjoyed it, and had a good laugh. And that guy always wears socks with pig pictures on them, but too hard to see in the image. Lol. You watched the video?

-Good image and story, Wendy.
-There have been a lot of stories of
animals on fields in baseball, but
mostly it was squirrels!
-I like your story, and you build it up well.
-He has the the makings of a superstar!
-You had me convinced, and then came
the hook, and your clever puns that
took on new meaning!
-A very good entry; good luck!!

Great puns in this clever dribble ff entry. Wondering if "bulky build" is preferable to "strong".
I guess this is a fictionalized version of the news report from the pig's POV.
Well done, Wendy.. Terrific write.
Good luck in the contest
Stay safe and blessed
