hi my friend,
Who hasn't fallen in love with a teacher. I like the fact that your father wrote poems... quite neat. I trust the gene runs in your blood... keep the blood flowing!

This is a fun poem and really does put a smile on my face. I had Mrs. Thompson in the third grade who I would be marrying when I grew up.

I like the understated humour of your father's poem. His last lines neatly turn a poem of true love into a comic situation. You have raised a much-needed smile in these rather bleak times., Thank you

Yes, Terry, that brings a smile and touches a little part of every heart.
Even the picture you chose has a bright connecting smile.
I really like the lines about
'laughter like a
Waterfall, ringing in my head.'
It is good to smile because dwelling on sadness doesn't help to overcome it.

This is cute and it did bring a smile. Your dad must have been your inspiration or else your source of talent. I guess the one with the lovely red hair much have been the librarian. Eight a little early for such passion.

Hello Terry,
What a fun poem by your father. Perhaps she was the teacher,
many a boy has a crush on redheaded teachers with a good sense of humor.
I think Jim was a luck man. Or maybe he made up the ending. :)
Gil would have had a lot of fun on fanstory and be well received too.
Sometimes it's good to smile in troubling times.
Well done.
Best wishes.

Hahaha! Well, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. I loved this, Terry. It's why we save our work. Your dad undoubtedly knew the craft and the know-how to deliver, as do you, my friend. It must have been a joy to have shared this.

I'm glad you found this fun poem that your father wrote, Terry. It did put a smile on my face, much needed after reading more about the Texas shootings this mornings. Because of our power outage, I'd heard only snippets about it on the car radio when we were going in search of WIFI. Today I got caught up. Another terrible tragedy for families to deal with.
