What an extraordinary amount of history was hidden in your grandmother's mind. It's a shame most children aren't interested in their parent's and grandparent's lives as youths.

I appreciate your tenderhearted confession to your grandmother. It's true as kids we set up our allegiances and of course you missed your mother and that you only met your grandmother once before made it hard to accept this strict grandmother who forced you to pray the rosary. But that you remember her is still a blessing. You care and understand her so much better now. Thanks for sharing. Best wishes in the contest!
