There is a fantasy feel and flow to your words. The reader feels like she is entering another realm. The image of the doors is inviting, the reader wants to enter. Excellent short fantasy poem.

Nice! Love the imagery of "secret doors slightly ajar" suggesting there is something on the other side, but do i dare peek inside? Enter? Explore? Or should I stay where I am where I know what is what? But eagerness excites, doesn't it? Must explore.

This is an excellent 5-7-5 poem. My favorite line is the last one saying Eagerness excites! That is so descriptive and alliterative as well.
It shows with the help of wonderful artwork the cobblestone steps on which one travels in this lifetime. We can either face our life head-on or we can have trepidation and fear guide us throughout our lives. I choose to eagerly await the future and live in the present until the future comes along.
Thanks for inviting me to ponder and wonder what will be in our lifetime.
