This is a beautiful tribute to your mother's faith and your own. I am sorry that she went to Heaven so young but even in those "eighteen years of mothering," it sounds she made a great impact about the importance of trusting Jesus and her legacy was the gift of music and praise. A well written poem with nice end rhyming paying tribute to your mum. I agree with you music is very moving. It can make us cry, laugh, sing or simply be at peace with the world. I too lost my mum suddenly when she was a young 60. There is so much I didn't get to ask her. Thanks for sharing Franky

I can relate, the uncertainty of loosing a mother, but she left you with a part of her. I especially liked the ending on a happy note. Your poem stirred emotions within me. Any poem that moves me gets a thumbs up.

This is a beautiful poem that deserves to do well in the contest. It has an authentic personal feeling of mother-daughter connection, charged with emotion but not soppy. Music is the link with your Momma and God - major influences in your life.
