What a powerful and moving poem and oh so true, I would like to say I enjoyed it which I did but the topic is so sad and it seems that we as a human race can't or don't want to accept the fact that we are killing off the planet through selfish greed. Thank you so much for posting this. I just hope and pray that things change before it is too late. Kooky.

Things could change overnight if we wanted them to. Unfortunately, not enough of us do. Many of us lack the courage and or determination to insist upon it.

I am happy to declare that your insight is also on point. It takes discernment to recognize the word of truth when you see or hear it. many just ignore truth feeling why bother as nothing will ever change. Wrong, Jesus changed the world forever.

This is such a true statement. The state of the world today is quite a scary thing. Each group feels the need to retaliate and seek revenge, and that accomplishes absolutely nothing. I think the entire world needs to read this piece of work and gather some meaning from it.

"Out of time" indeed. The poem tells the story we see in our newspapers and on our televisions everyday now. There is so much hatred and senseless crimes, you're are so right, we are almost out of time. Eash stanza paints a picture and the clocks, the artwork, really help tell this story. I really like the stanza "We risk becoming desensitized by frequent violent acts - That we are a violent society, is a verifiable fact." Everyone needs to read and really understand these words. Thanks for sharing, great work.

Faith cannot resolve this. We all have to make a physical effort to rectify this. I really liked your poem. Ulla:)))
