I love watching the stars. I do not see them as predicting the future but as the wonder of God's universe.
"As clever men hypothesize, yet cannot measure depth, or track your passage as they gaze from destination step." It tells of God's creation.
Brilliant writing.
Blessings,
Mary

I have always loved star gazing with so many wonders to behold. You excel at expressive presentations, Roy. I also enjoy the connection of your poetic message to various Scriptures. God sure knew what He was doing when He designed the heavens!

I really loved the picture Roy, it was fantastic showing the lady in red on the foot of the staircase. Your words seemed to reflect upon the brightness of the stars and you drew out that brightness in many ways. Very well done and greatly enjoyed. Blessings to you and your family.

Magnificent! No other words to describe this. I slowly digested each word bite and felt like I had the finest seven-course meal when I was done.what a literal feast of rhymes and thoughts and imagery!

Beautiful writing, my friend :)
The stars always intrigue me. They remind me of twinkling Christmas lights stuck in the sky. Another one of God's splendid creations. I enjoy the beauty and mystery the hold. I've always wondered what they look like up close. I couldn't imagine life without them. They, along with the bright moon, are the first thing I look at before my early run. They inspire me just like your poems, Roy. Both spectacular and inspiring.
Thank you for sharing!
Always your fan,
Shana :)

The stars are like gems in the blackness, look much closer than they are, and yet, as you say they don't create light, only the glow of beauty.
This is a lovely read Roy, and a lovely presentation.
cheers,

This poem, Spread Your Wings, presented in for AABB-rhymed fourteener quatrains, seems to note that mankind proposes much, though mostly ignorant of either the cosmos or the earth. God then disposes, as would have happened if the people did nothing at all but what God commanded.

Nicely done, Roy.
The stars o'erhead shine down on me
On this clear winter night.
I gaze into the heavens,
And I'm spellbound by the sight.
And in that vast and inky void,
I'm wondering just where
The throne of God, in all its glory,
Might be found up there.

Here's another fine poem you knock out of the park with your meaningful rhyming. Great job as always, Roy.
Though I have sight, I'm truly blind, my soul will never hear.
As time imparts impending doom my faith assuages fear.
From eons past those lights reveal the Master's handiwork;
though some have passed they still remain enigma's hidden quirk. [love this last stanza for its word choice.]
