A good picture Elizabeth. Perhaps Scott should instruct Janice to talk to Mrs. Barr, after all she now has two vacant bedrooms. But I will safely guess he did not do that despite his worries. Very well done and enjoyed.

I need to ask the obvious question why couldn't Mrs. Barr take this striking russet-haired woman in her house? If I was Scott, I think I would ask that question. I am pretty sure he did not and took the lady in. Right?

Sounds like Mrs. Barr, with the extra bedroom, would rather inconvenience Scott than herself, which would seem to be typical of most. But my biggest question would be: was there a huge reason Mrs. Barr didn't want to be saddled with Janice for the night . . . Thanks for sharing.

What contrasting personalities!. Personality is what makes a person unique, a characteristic of behaving, thinking, and feeling. Like the good man Scott in this case. A positive personality trait includes being honest and taking responsibility . Admirable. The opposite of his good trait is the mean and selfish behaviour of Mrs Barr . An interesting case study. Theres are people like that who helpfully point the way to other for favors, but wouldn't think of opening thier own homes to someone in need. I'll bet Mrs. Barr didn't even considered the possiblity she had a spare room.

Why is it that the ones who are in tight economical positions themselves find others dumping more on their plate instead of stepping up and doing their fair share? Scott is one of rare ones in this society of ours... I hope God has a very special place set aside for him.

Scott is a warm-hearted person despite of his own situation. I really think he should be given an award for helping people. I guess Janice must be Mrs. Barr's granddaughter. People do seem to take advantage of Scott's kindness.
