Your one-line poem is excellent--a succinct, wise statement about how we approach life. At some point we learn that not all "matters'' deserve our undivided attention and dedicated efforts. As you say, we must stick with those that at least make sense!

For one line and seven words, this is pretty dang good! I like the art work you choose to go with it. Good luck with the contest. I tried to think of another way to express this thought, but I think you nailed it. Good job.

Many things happen to us in our everyday struggle in life. Ultimately, what matters is does it really matter to you? Be cool. That's all matters! I enjoyed your one-liner poem. Good luck!

Your contest entry is in good form. You make a great statement many need to hear and follow. I'm applying it to the state of the mess the world is in.
Best wishes in the contest.
Respectfully, Jan

-I love the artwork, John,
and the presentation is good.
-You wrote a good monostitch
with a good topic.
-I wonder how many times,
in the course of a day or week,
that matters really make sense.
-It would be interesting to know.
-You have a good message and
something to think about.
-Good luck in the contest.

You are very welcome, John.

Trying to write a one line poem that matters and makes sense is truly a difficult task. You truly nailed it and actually wrote a one line poem.
Smart and clever.

Mary

I'm afraid all matters that make sense, aren't necessarily the only ones that matter, because we can only move within the lens our own understanding, wisdom and knowledge, it is truly foolish to dismiss those things that aren't comprehensible...unless of course, we believe ourselves to be God. Thank you, blessings Roy

You have made a fine point here! So many matters never flatter or glitter or flutter toward the core of need. I love your artwork. Seshadri always offers something unique and this art is a tangle. Reminds me of Congress.

Very true!
In just a few words, you did capture what matters. Like the illustration that your paired with your few words (and mini m-letter alliteration) for this contest entry. While the artwork has red, I would prefer black text. IMHO it makes it more dramatic. (Consider black background color and white text?)
