That's cute. I want to get a little dog when I retire. I just hope Madame Cat is not too upset. I expect he'll chew up a few shoes and pillows, but he'll be mine for life, because I'd never abandon him.

Hello Sally.
The story is written in a clever way using fortunately and unfortunately in alternate paragraphs. You counter every fortunate with an unfortunate incident and that's creative.
Good luck in the contest.

How funny. Especially when talking about the pillow, not Sir Cat. I, too, have had pets for as long as I can remember. I've had dogs and cats who were great friends, a turtle who adored the cats, a parakeet, a duck, rabbits, and so on. I remember when I was about four, my grandmother and I started a worm farm. I cannot imagine a life without pets.

Fortunately (!!), your story is well-written, entertaining, and amusing. You have tied the points together well with the two key words assigned. I especially like the end--very creative.

I am also animal lover. I have a total of 9 animals, 2 cats and 7 dogs. Out of the nine, seven are rescued. I won't be without any of them until I'm forced into it. You did a great job, and I saw no errors. have a wonderful night. Shirley

I?m so sorry Sally, I mentioned a small prayer

Haha when you put two different species vying for one's attention, things are bound to happen, Sally. It seems the cat and dog tried to antagonize one another on purpose. Your contest entry was fun to read and review. I like the 'back and forth' of the antics of the kitty and the puppy.
Best wishes in the contest.
Respectfully, Jan
