For some strange reason September is always a bad month for me too. It always has been. I can relate to your feelings and hope things go the way you want them too. Good luck with your dreaming. Nancy:)

I like this idea of becoming a sun catcher, of wanting to run from all the loss and pains of life but not run to nothing. Instead, running to good things, remembering the goodness that still exists. This is very lovely and poignant with beautiful poetic language. Well done!

That was something special, Amada. Most of us have lost loved ones, and some are unbearable, the loss of a child shouldn't happen. That is the hardest one to bear. But we do somehow find that strength that is deep inside to manage our losses. I liked the way you put your thoughts, dreams and wishes into words. I'm so sorry you lost your grandson. Warm hugs, Sandra xx

Overcoming loss of a major thing in life depresses. There have been many in recent times, but I've lost a child/grandchild, but quite a few friends, my brother, parents, both my wife's and mine, but overcoming is what life is about really, but generally we have been most blessed. Beautifully written my friend, a good story of loss and recovery, beautifully written, blessing, Roy

This is a beautiful commentary on the struggles you have been going through and your desire to " accept the weight of my losses, and be grateful for everything else I still have, as the glow of the lazy sun filters through my smile." I think you're on the right track. Wishing you lots of sunshine. Great writing, Amada.

This is very inspiring, contains beautiful word pictures, and is a pleasure to read. I like your thought of being a "sun catcher". Because we are human, we will go through times of testing and hardship, but as we consider all the great things of creation, we can rise above the trials, and feel the sweet spirit of God fill our hearts. Thank you for sharing this from your heart.

This is an excellent essay with thought provoking imagery and lyrical writing. You have managed to express extreme loss and tenacious hope in your writing. Very well done.

Stunning and touching to our souls. I am so sorry for your loss; and so warmed by your desire to lift yourself from the darkness and rise above it and accept the gifts we still have. I too find myself in a horrible place and I found a smile as I read your beautiful post. I pray you continue to catch the warmth of the sun.
Hugs, Carol

Hello Amada,
Nice piece of Biographical Non-Fiction having delicacy of Female - 'Verse' and sturdiness of Male - 'Prose' ;
Impressive and PERFECTLY matching the theme phraseology with lovely imagery at several places;
Captivating flow throughout from the beginning to the end;
Remarkable flight of imagination while standing on the solid surface of the earth;
MARVELOUS depiction of 'Wish, Will power, Worth following positivity!'
Entertaining as well as Educative!!
LAUDABLE Attempt!!!
