It would seem Chuck, with all his determination to conquer a challenge, is a good man to have around as the non-resident man of the house. He deserves a free dinner out. Well written, Liz. I can relate.

This story is basically true; I added the flourish of spilling the glass of water. We went to dinner tonight.
We've been together-not-together for 12 years--we live 2 miles apart and so we will remain--close enough--and far enough!--he comes to dinner daily--we knew from the start we'd never marry, on account of religious conflict

Yes, those sinks can be a mess deluxe, Liz. I enjoyed reading your fun (well it is now--not then) account of fixin' the sink. I could see everything you mentioned. I'm happy this fictionalized account was successful. Yes, go out and celebrate--cheaper than a plumber.
Respectfully, Jan

Drains can be a pain you know where. I am glad you finally got the clog out. I always put Draino down them once a week, just to help them stay clear. I enjoyed reading and thank you for sharing.

You know, Liz, you could make 'watching grass grow' very interesting. Ha! You do have a special way. Another thing; I love that you call this Storyland. Has
Tom ever commented?

Tom must not read my postings--he'd excommunicate me for sacrilege.

That literally did stop you pouring money down the drain, Liz! So there you go, Chuck DOES have his uses!! You would have felt a bit of a nutter had you called out the plumber only to find him turn the tap on and you all watch the water drain away. That would have cost money, too!! Well done, Chuck, the hero of the day!! :)) Sandra xx

Time to go out to dinner? After cleaning a sludge filled drain pipe, the last thing I would be thinking about would be eating. Okay, so I'm lying, I always think of eating. But I wouldn't be trying to unstop a sink. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

What a story you have narrated out of declogging a choked pipe! I think you are surrounded by strange happenings and interesting people! Looks like the real art of declogging is what to leave and what to pull out! I enjoyed every bit of this. Have a smooth flowing Sunday!

I can but say you're a genius, fortunately I have a close friend in a plumber, I take care of his investments, he takes care of my plumbing, it's a good relationship. Beautifully written, blessings Roy

Can I borrow Chuck? I have one beef with your piece, you should have added an extra $. We had a leaky kitchen faucet, and while I was expecting $200. It cost us $550. discounted down from $700. Very well done in showing how Chuck's persistence to fix it paid off.
Regards,
Mary

I'm so glad Chuck's snake worked for you. oops I could have put that better. I glad the sludge is gone. Sometimes when we least expect it, things work out. FanStory seemed to out of commission for me yesterday. I was happy to see it back this morning.
