I told you this story was going to be a roller coaster ride...and one I hope youu won't forget. We are getting closer to the end, but we certainly aren't out of the woods just yet.

Okay, I'm confused, the last time we saw Jon, he fired a gun and we were led to believe he committed suicide. Now, I guess why did he fire the gun? Anyway, this doesn't look good for anybody.
When the Reverend Mother took you away, she said that someone was adopting you, (omit 'that')
Faith questioned Mary. "And you don't now? What changed your mind?" (comma needed after 'Mary')
Faith chuckled, "That must have really made you feel (period needed after 'chuckled')
Just do as you're told." Mason growled. (comma after 'told')
"Mason, I've done everything you've asked. Annie is my granddaughter. I am begging you not to harm her." Jon pleaded with Mason. (comma after 'her')

Yes, you are right. The first time Jon did want to commit suicide, but he wasn't strong enough to do it. The next chapter (where he is distraught over Annie) will explain the gun clearly I believe.

Just knowing you think so highly of my writing is truly enough for me. I can't believe how I let my friend get under my skin so bad that I doubted every word or plot I wrote. I know I'm not perfect or the best, but I think I am reasonably good. Virtual sixes will do wonders for me.

Mason is one of the worse when it comes to evil. He has no care for anyone except for how he can use them to his advantage.

Yes, when Miguel comes from El Paso with the barrels he also has people hidden in the truck...human trafficking. Usually they are sold but Mason wants to make the evidence vanish. the people put the drug packets in the false bottoms and then when Mason is done with them he moves them out to an auction. Rotten man!
