Cynthia is quite a piece of work! I fear for the child now that others know she is there and knows Michael's secret. Another fine chapter, well-written and intriguing. Liz and Allie have too many enemies!

Cynthia is quite a piece of work! I fear for the child now that others know she is there and knows Michael's secret. Another fine chapter, well-written and intriguing. Liz and Allie have too many enemies!

It seems that Cynthia's mind has been turned by the gold, and Michael declaring that a young girl knows about the gold, has stirred the lady up, and wants to buy the land off Liz. But she's stopped by a rather zealous man simply called Poppa, and Daryl has to smooth over the disturbance. Well done Carol, another success, and a great weaving of the tale. Blessings Roy

Well Cynthia's turning out to be quite the manipulator. I'm really looking forward to more. And Darryl . . . What's up with him? You have me ready to keep turning pages! Do you watch the gold mining shows (Discovery or Travel channel)? They often show how panning is done. Very nice chapter overall.

It looked like a hen fight, and the rooster might be losing. -- "hen fights" are between girls. You can make it a chicken fight and have it work.

Yes, Cynthia is far from a harmless old lady from across the street. I am curious who she spent the night with. That could be important to the story. I was wondering if it was Darryl, but from the encounter right now, I would say no. Hmm. I do like this story.

This was really exciting to read though, with Cynthia having been away for the night, and then her annoyance at not being able to barge in on things like she's used to.
