Brilliant! This story grows ever richer in characters and imagery, and ever deeper into the diabolical plots. Point of confusion--why do you need a theere to be a mysterious person who sent the gift basket--the poison candy was swapped in afterwards.

Because they billed it to Liz's credit card and they need to know who did that....and why? They don't really know for sure the candy was swapped except Brittany didn't get sick so they assume it had to be later. Smiles, Carol

What I meant is--why did you introduce the extra element of someone else vs LIZ sending the candy--it wasn't poisoned at the point of sending, so what would be the motive for someone to steal LIZ's credit card for the purpose of sending an untampered gift basket?

The candy had to be in the room already so Jon could replace the pieces. Therefore, someone had to send it first. Jon carried the poison candy pieces in his pocket and exchanged them. If the mystery person didn't send it, they would not have any idea if candy was there, what kind of candy it was, etc. Hope that
    makes sense.

Begin Again
Oh, I wonder if Michael will keep the secret that he made with Annie that they found gold flakes in the muddy stream
I know one thing I like of how you keep us readers wanting to read more of your story. And thank you for the large font.

Oh, no! He had better not harm Annie! Actually, I think if he tries to hurt her Sebastian would defend her and go after Michael. I'm glad the girls are at Liz's house. Another great chapter!

Even though he's a puppy, I think Sebastian would defend Annie if he could. Thanks for the review and for following the story. Smiles, Carol

Michael meets Annie, and her "wild animal" Sebastian, with Michael striking "bonanza" and makes a pledge to keep it quiet. Meanwhile Hank rings his dear wife Emmy and discovers he misses her terribly, and is interrupted by Garth, who has Liz as a suspect, much to the chagrin of Hank. Beautifully written Carol, blessings Roy

Uh-oh. I don't like the idea of Michael meeting Annie. Who knows what Michael and Cynthia would do to hide their secret knowledge of gold, on the vineyard property? I wouldn't want him to hurt Annie, Faith or Mary -- even though they have the protection of a "wild dog" and Mary's gun.

Suggestions:

but he had a job to do, not just any job either.

Once Hank offered, he didn't hesitate to pour him a cup.

That was a good conversation, between Hank and Emmy. I hope Emmy comes for a visit.

Liz obviously isn't guilty, but someone's in cahoots with Jon and possibly Mason, and they used her credit card information to try, again, to kill Cassidy.

And what is the fate of Jon? I guess we'll find out soon.

Oh no! Now Annie's in trouble as she's found out about Michael's hunting for gold. I sure hope Emmy gets there fast and then we can have the duo put their heads together with Garth and sort everything out!

Carol,

OOooooohhh... I don't like that one bit. Including the child is a dreadful new development. And while a pinky promise is an important and precious thing to a child, it doesn't mean much to a lowdown, shiftless man like this. Yuck.

Nice job!

Yep, I am not sure how Michael will react to Annie's discovering his gold. I know he's afraid and will tell his evil aunt.

So Michael is finding the treasure that is supposed to be on this land. I'm wondering where this is going. Isn't he on private property? I still don't know how these neighbors hope to get the treasure since Liz isn't planning to sell. I assume Darryl must be involved somehow, but so far he has seemed nice enough. I wonder what Cynthia told him.

I think they might believe if they make things difficult enough for Liz, she might turn and run from the land. But I am not sure she will do that because of her love for Jack

That turd hadn't better do anything to Annie!!!! Now, I'm thinking you had better get me into the fray, I seem to be the only one that knows what a snake in the grass that Cynthia is! I don't just feel 'uneasy' about her, I know she's not to be trusted. Hmm. Now, it's time for Liz to find out she has a sister, and a niece. Let's get the action rolling, dump Cynthia in the cesspit, Micheal can follow her in. Let's think for a moment, perhaps Cassidy could slug Mason, and then I'll find the gold for Liz, and well all life happily ever after!! Yes? No? OH! Right then. Next part please!!! Loved this one. Warm hugs, dear friend, love and smiles as well. :)) Sandra xxxxx

I don't trust Cynthia either. I am worried about Annie. I don't think Michael will make her a good friend. I do like this story.

A tear slipped from the corner of Emmy's eye. She sniffed and wiped it away with the back of her hand. (Since Hank is at Liz's and not with Emmy how does he know she has a tear and wiped it. He doesn't.)

    Thanks, Barbara.

The funny thing is I knew the part about Emmy was the wrong POV, but it just seemed so right to be there. LOL, Bad on me! Thanks for the review and kind words. Smiles, Carol
