A very profound statement. First I have to say I like chocolate that is sweet and also bitter. To use this as how we enjoy or experience love was an excellent idea. Nice job!

Wow, what kind of drink has chocolate on top? I was thinking hot fudge but I don't see any ice cream. Chocolate, a cherrie and then there is perhaps a shot of jello?

June, this really a drippy one-liner LOL.
Like the words and artwork comb a lot. Often life is just like that: sweet and bitter! We can take both and enjoy the taste.

This is an excellent entry for the One Line Poem contest. You very succinctly compare and contrast the bitterness and the sweetness of chocolate and couples in love. With solemnity you subtly pronounce to the world that lovers savor the bitter - as well as the sweet. I detect a hint of an admonishment. I inferred in some way you are informing us that as in the old song; "You can't have one without the other."
And Then? . . . Maybe . . . NOT!

Cleverly done! An apt simile connecting two great passions! There is a freshness and originality in your presentation of this idea that may well put it in the winners' circle.

There have never been truer words spoken (written). I have read your poem in sheer delight as I munch on a chocolate protein bar. Your artwork looks delicious, and the words of your poem sound tasty. Best wishes in the contest.
