Young and naïve serves the Cassidy types up to the Masons of the world free and easy. And so sadly, once that innocence is abused and destroyed, it can never be replenished. Thanks for another fine chapter!

Hello, my friend
I am so far behind on writing, reviewing and simply saying hello without putting my foot in my mouth. Thank you for taking the time to read another chapter. Hope you are feeling okay?
Smiles and hugs, Carol

Mason is a jerk, but we already knew that. He also just set her up. They need to get Cassidy out of prison fast. There's no way she's going to survive in there. This is a good story and you're doing a good job of writing.

You are right, Barbara....
Neither Cassidy or Allie are cut out for prison life and those rough women are well aware of it. Hope Cassidy gets smart real soon and Garth gets them out of there.... Smiles, Carol

Poor Cassidy, at least she knows where she stands now, and the subtle threat concerning her mother's care couldn't have been plainer if he'd actually come out and said it. Now she might be a bit more open about him to Allie, thinking she's a prisoner. Mason is a slimy slug, and someone needs to either spray him with rodent killer or stamp on him! If she didn't have Allie there, I think being in prison with those hardened villians would certainly kill her. How can Allie leave her there now? Well done, my friend. This was a very well written part. :)) Hugs and love Sandra xx

Hi, Sandra...
I like the way you want to spray my characters with rodent killer.... Hurrah! Cassidy is in for some problems if she doesn't wise up soon. And she just might drag Allie down with her. That is if I can ever get back to writing. Smiles and hugs, Carol

I enjoyed this chapter. Your have done such a great job in defining your characters. One minute I feel sorry for Cassidy, and the next I can't believe she can't see through Mason. That's getting your reader involved in the book, so I say Fantastic job of making me feel like a part of the book.

Thank you, Shirley
I apologize for being so far behind... Yes, Cassidy is going to have to wise up or something terrible is going to happen. I am thrill by your comment of becoming enthralled with the characters and the book. You made my day! Smiles, Carol

Cassidy was expecting some good news from Mason, but it appears he's going on a luxury cruise with some of substance, what could he possibly be up to, nothing good for Cassidy I'll bet. Poor Cassidy she was attacked but rescued by the prison officers. Great episode, the life is tough if life hasn't toughened and prepared you for prison, well done, blessings Roy

How nice of Mason to break it to Cassidy in basically a Dear John letter that he's not coming to her aid and is in fact going off to cruise the Bahamas with the lady senator on her yacht for a couple of weeks. Poor Cassidy. Looking forward to the next chapter.

He's a creep, Patty... He needs some lessons from your happy foursome, but I'd never want to but their lives in jeopardy. LOL
thanks for stopping by and reading. Appreciate the review. Smiles, Carol
Comment from Wendy G
So very realistic about what I imagine life would be like inside a prison, with the threats, the mockery and the taunts, from jailers and inmates alike. Very sad. She has understood that Cassidy is issuing a veiled threat about her mother. She has also understood that he "will not be around" for her. Every last hope has gone. Looking forward to the next!

Thank you, Wendy... From the crime stories I have watched, this is how horrible I think it would be too. I visited someone once and the slamming of the iron doors behind you is a chill I will never forget. I hope Cassidy breaks and tells her story before it's too late.
smiles, Carol

Brutal--brilliant and vivid rendering of scene--cruel guard--mocking prisoners--snatching toiletries. Cassidy's reaction to the letter is believable under the circumstances.
I don't get this line:
"I have no idea, but it wasn't a friend. I didn't think I'd make it back here."

Cassidy meant the experience of walking through the other inmates was so excruciating that she didn't think a friend would do that do her. I'll work on it!

This prison sound pretty scary. Cassidy found out how much her lover misses her. Maybe she soon be more reaady to open up. The threat was there about whether or not her mother would continue to get care. Nicely written. I'm enjoying the story.

Yes, Mason is a creep and believes the world belongs to him. so far his power has only grown regardless of the horrible things he does. this time he will battle Garth and Hank... he might not be as sly as he thinks.
Always, Carol
