Oops, looks like there is more to the story than anyone alive was really wanting to know, or at least Liz. But, I guess, everyone has a few secrets if they are having any fun at all. LOL. Thanks for sharing.

Oh yes...this is going to be one surprise after another... My mind is spinning like a top and as devious (or maybe just secretive) as ever.
Hope you are having a great day! Smiles and hugs, Carol

Things are picking up speed with the safe open and all the contents. I can't imagine what Liz saw that has her so upset she has to leave the room. I know that is one of the cliff hangers you like to leave us with.
which he behind his hand. Which he (hid) behine his hand. I think this left out word was on the last chapter instead of this one. I forgot to put it in.

Thanks Beth... I fixed it!
Glad you are enjoying and wondering what was the last evidence to fall... Smiles, Carol

This is really a six, but I have to save some for others. How dare you leave me hanging without knowing how the papers relate to Faith? I want to spend this rainy day, curled up and reading the rest of your novel. Excellent story development.
Notes:
Her thoughts filled with planes -- she's asleep -- dreams?
Would Elizabeth, in a paranoid state, have asked to see ID before letting him in? I would have.
"It's okay because I have the combination. Jack gave it to me when we talked, just in case." -- I think Liz and maybe Allie would take note that Jack had the foresight to give the combination to Hank
he discovered some valuable clues." -- seems a little trite -- maybe, discovered something meaningful?
Liz had returned with a basket of muffins and three cups of coffee. -- I think you are missing a tray, since "it" gets placed on a table in the next sentence.

Fixed...
Someone stole my tray....LOL I know when I originally wrote it she was carrying a tray...It was almost 11 last night and I guess I lost the tray somewhere.
As for the ID..I did think about it but I decided she's been so rattled about everything she wouldn't be thinking straight to ask.
Thanks for the help, suggestions and for the best part....
I want to spend this rainy day, curled up and reading the rest of your novel...... I couldn't ask for anything more.
Smiles and hugs, Carol

Now who is that woman? Allie and Elizabeth obviously know her and from their reaction, they know her well. Well, Hank made his entrance in style! LOL. I'm glad Jack had already spoken to him, I think Hank must have sent Garth down to start checking things out. Your layers are already beginning to thicken, Carol, and I'm enjoying them all. Well done, my friend!!!! Excellent chapter. :)) Sandra xxx

Thanks, my sweet friend...
I think (after I get through answering all these reviews and reading everyone's story) I shall tried to get back to writing about the rest of the evidence... Yes, the layers are like a yummy cake! Thanks for the sweet icing you have added.

Can't give you all of my sixes, Carol, but this chapter is deserving of one. You are moving things right along, setting things up for a wild adventure I suspect. Wonderful writing.

No problem to worry about the sixes... I always appreciate them, but the fact you continue to read and enjoy satisfies me much more.

I got goosebumps reading this chapter. So much left to be discovered. You certainly have the knack of knowing when to press the pause button!! An engrossing story, and a carefully crafted one.

Seems like Hank understands much more than either of the ladies. It's good that neither shot him! I like how you are hinting at clues by giving us bits and pieces this way. I only wish those characters would use gloves before touching documents. Lol. Perry Mason is always touching dead victims with his hands!

Oh I loved Perry Mason...the old time detective work without all the new fandango technical stuff.
I did dump a lot of clues on the desk... hopefully you picked up on some of them. Smiles, Carol

Convoluted plot--I mean that as a compliment!--clearly there are a lot of threads you will expertly weave--looking forward to see how it comes together--excellent narration--fast-paced and enthralling!

Yes, you are right, Liz!
I dumped a package full of problems and solutions on the top of Jack's desk...now if only Hank and his friends can sort them out and find who or what goes where.
