This is a beautiful minute poem so delightfully illustrated. This should do well in the contest. If you live in a place like this, you are very fortunated and no wonder you are happy.

Thank you so much, Beth, I'm so glad you liked my Minute poem. Now I'm living here and have seen such beauty, and felt so much better in myself, I'm going to take my camera every time and start writing a book about my walks complete with my own photos. I'll put them on here for all of you to share. Thanks dear friend. Sending you a warm hug. :)) Sandra xxx

Don't say that, Chris, you're poem was lovely! I came back from a lovely walk and sat down and put my thoughts into this poem. When I saw the contest I thought I'd see what happens. I'm going to start writing more poems about my walks and start taking my camera with me for the illustrations, then I'll put them all in a book. It's one way of keeping them together. I'm glad you enjoyed my Minute poem, my friend, and thanks so much for the best wishes, I wish you the same. Warm hugs! :)) Sandra xxx

A tangible sense of peace and harmony conveyed here in these lines sharing a moment in Nature with the reader - Nature soothes our weary human soul

How fortunate you are to live in such splendor!
This poem is a true reflection of an attitude of gratitude. Does anyone need anything more? I pray all the time that we humans come to our senses before we make a total mess of our plant.
Lovely post. Thank you!

Hi Ryma, yes, I'm the luckiest old lady on the block! It's something I never dreamed would happen, and the double bonus is, my two sons live a very short car ride away.
I'm totally with you on the mess we humans have made of our beautiful home, one day they will turn around and see just what they've done, at least I hope they do. Thank you for reading my poem, my friend, I'm so glad you enjoyed it. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

Very well written, Sandra. Your use of fresh rhymes such as immersed and thirst, and fox and rocks in combination with the artwork make this a fine entry into the minute poem contest.
Wishing you great luck with the Committee with this gem. :))

Aw, thank you so very much, Gloria! What a lovely review. I'm so pleased you liked my rhyme choices, they just seemed so right for what I'd seen.
I went for a walk earlier today with Graham and oh, what a gift I had. A fawn was nibbling away and suddenly realised I was there. I was able to take a few photos before he looked up and then it was like time stood still, we just stared at each other. I managed to get a photo before he skipped off. I'll be writing more poems about my walks. I'm so pleased you enjoyed this one. Thank you, Gloria. Warm hugs. Sandra xx

There are a lot of deer here too, so I always get a charge out of them. I look forward to your poems about your walks.

Thank you so very much, Dolly, for your lovely comments on my poem. I was inspired, no other word to say about it. The two deer playing in the woodlands was the icing on the cake. I'm so pleased you enjoyed my Minute poem. Warm hugs, Sandra xxx

It's lovely here, Liz. Thank you for reading my poem, and for the congrats. I can tell you now, it's not so easy when you are in your 70s to move house, it's hard work on the bones, lol, but I have to say I'd do it all again to be here. Your son is a lucky man. Warm hugs, my friend. :)) Sandra xx

What a sweet poem Sandra. I am always in awe of nature and the gifts that God has given us. I feel a sense of serenity when I see a rainbow. I hope to see pictures of your walks soon. God's blessings, Sally

It's a joy to look at nature in her own habitat. The animals free to roam, the birds singing happily, the gorgeous wild flowers at this time of the year, and the streams where everything comes to drink and bathe. I'm loving it here.
Thank you so much for this lovely review, dear friend. I'm delighted you enjoyed reading it. Warm hugs. :)) Sandra xxx

Hello Sandra,
You've written a wonderful minute poem for the contest.
It's always good to take a minute and enjoy nature,
or sometimes an hour. Who could ask for more.
Your poem has excellent rhymes and meter
and a very tranquil theme.
Sounds like a great place to walk or relax and enjoy.
Best wishes.

Lol, always good to take a minute!! I've just been for another walk with Graham and oh, I am so glad we went. I have some lovely photos of a fawn, one where he is looking directly at me, it was a magical moment. Thank you, dear friend, for this really lovely review, and for that 6th star!! That was so very kind of you. Sending you a super big warm hug. :)) Sandra xxx
