the heavens. The poem flows and connects well. The color purple is

You happen to be describing one of my favorite times of day. *smile* The back of my house faces West. I can be going about my daily routine and completely oblivious of the outside world and anything else that might be happening. Walking by with a load of laundry, preparing a meal for my two grandgirls, or headed to the bathroom - and pass the back sliding glass doors.

And time stops. We get the most breathtaking sunsets. And all over again, I'm reminded of a God who loves His creation and daily bestows blessings upon us. It's like a wake-up call. Beautiful.

A lovely lune indeed, I like your idea of linking the descent of twilight with the word grace. It brings to mind the image of a benevolent king. The next line continues the idea of royalty with soft purple. The final line puts everything in perspective. Very beautifully done Sendai. This should do very well in this contest.

Yes, I adore twilight, it is magical and mystical as the day prepares for night. Homing pigeons come home to roost and so do us people, lol. I am so glad you made the reference to royalty in the color purple and to ?grace? as in a benevolent king. Now my Lune has been transformed by you into a deeper meaning for myself. Wonderful :-)

Regardless of how difficult a day has been, it always seems to calm my spirit when I stand on the deck and watch the sunset. The blending of the colors is like magic, and it seems so soothing and peaceful... exactly how I wish the day would be... or maybe it's just the calm before the storm (the darkness), but it gives me strength to endure.
