Hahaha This was so funny. Oh my goodness, I couldn't stop laughing. At first, I thought it was a ghost or the homeowner with a surprising weapon. Now I'm made to wonder if they split goods. Great job.

hahahaha I thought it was gonna be a ghost. hahahaha Another thief was a clever idea, of course. I can be pretty rough for a cat burglar, I suppose. Doing all that scouting and casing and then having to just jump in and do the jobs when the timing is right and the folks are away - and that does not ensure that others won't be afoot!

This is quite creative and hilarious. I wondered why the thief found the front door already open. Haha! He wasn't first. I guess the two will have to split their findings. Great short story, and great title. Best wishes in the contest.
