The behavior of some animals are worthy of imitation, others are not. Owls and eagles are often cited for their positive values. the antics of wolves, coyotes and scavenging animals are often avoided for obvious reasons.

That's such a cute picture to illustrate your story. So the kid points out the squirrel to the father, who tells a story from his childhood? I think if it happened in the past, you might want that last sentence to be in the past tense, too. " Promises to never be like it." (Promised)
