This is just the coolest poem. Kingfisher's are among the funnest of birds, and all your fine word choices bring this nonet right to life. I can imagine the whole thing playing out.

Darlin' Nonet and fabulous picture accompanying it. That's a lotus leaf? Beautiful colors! Nature sure knows what she's doing!
I might print this and put your name at the bottom and frame it. The poem and picture really look great with the colors you chose for the background and the text. Good job!

Ah, very nice. I saw this Nonet contest and not a single (good) thing came to my mind. This is very good and I like the rhyming and the accurate description of your little bird. Good presentation too. I can see this one going all the way.
