Huzzah! No vacuuming here. Everything is tile, but I haven't mopped or even swept in six months. I have a nightly invasion of the cutest, though annoyingly active, little hopping crickets that sneak in under the front door. Every time I see a new one hopping around, I kick it under the TV console and it gets tangled up in all the dust bunnies and I never see it again. I can't bear to swat or step on any little critters. I'm glad to hear I'm in good company!

As for the vacuuming, people shouldn't be so concerned. They should visit for the sake of seeing friends, not what their house looks like or not.

Hello Liz.
My sociable side moved into a cave down at the end of the road. It is living down there alone. I fully expect that it will be happy by itself. I expect someone to come to our house by Christmas.

I don't know what I'd do these last few months if I hadn't joined FanStory. It's so easy to drift away to other worlds and forget about cleaning and trying to keep in touch with others outside this world. Will we ever go back?

But it sounds like you're a wonderful hostess! I think we can all ease into socializing. I don't mind feeding people - it's the cleaning that's tough. And with Patch's litterbox in the bathroom, I'm wondering if she'd be willing to go outside during any guest visits...

I know the feeling. I don't miss going out to do some of the things I used to do. After months of not bothering to get dressed up, it's hard to get back in the habit. My husband and I used to go out to dinner frequently, but we still haven't gotten back into the habit. We're still ordering carry out. Maybe your experience will put you in the mood for more occasions. judi
