I think we are all sick of the flu. That statement is ridiculous or a double negative. I just heard that Texas has opened up, no masks? It's about time we stopped this ridiculousness.

This account has a hilarious tongue-in-cheek humor to it. That is one of my favorite types of humor. It makes me laugh right out loud. This could be a subtle or not so subtle cautionary tale. Some readers might miss the subtleties and that would be too bad. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

This is funny flash fiction. It sounds like someone has really got an obsession with the horrors of wearing masks. The cure of this is to pack up and move to where they are no longer required.

Omg, I want to move to Texas. This mask mandate is killing me. I'm fine with the 6 foot distance thing, but I absolutely loathe wearing a face mask. I feel this.

I hate the mask mandate, too. I don't go out unless it's absolutely necessary. I like fresh air. Thanks so much for the wonderful review and I wish you plenty of fresh air wherever you are, Deanna.

Sally,
This is what I do when I'm depressed. Basically the same rituals, and I've moved here and there to escape my problems. But they follow me.
I like the mood of your work, I can feel as tha narrator feels.
Excellent work, Sally.
Best wishes in the contest.
Blessings,
Cindy

Thank you for the wonderful review and personal comments, dear Cindy. I think these masks and the government overreach has brought more harm than good. Thus, this satirical article. I have to laugh a little, otherwise I'd cry all the time. Laughter is good medicine. Sending you my best my best today, with fresh air and smiles. Make sure you get fresh air breaks! Sal XOs....

Spot-on! Wry humor, apt for the reign of Coronophobia. If it weren't for my full-time residence in StoryLand, I'd have been a basket case by now--so demoralizing--can't see, can't touch anybody. Nice work.

That's such a cute title! Yes, depression is something caused by the isolation in this pandemic. But I think moving to another state would be more isolating, having to make new friends all over again.
We've been able to keep in fellowship with church friends with our masks on and we don't need to wear masks when walking out in the open. People are very considerate.
Best wishes in the contest!

Ha ha...I just LOVED this.
Six stars for the ending alone,
and I so hope you win!!
Nothing as depressing as a Santa
mug that never saw Christmas.
GREAT entry!

Aw, thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed my poke in the eye to governmental over-reach and erroding liberties. The fact that I have a sense of humor left is encouraging. I see you do too, dear friend. Thank you for the splendid stars and compliments. Blessings always and plenty of fresh air be yours,

Hello Sal.
Funny stuff. You've mixed the mundane with the extreme and boiled it all down to an escape clause.
Your last line of packing up and moving to Texas made me laugh. Every good flash has to have a great ending. You did well with this one. Good luck in the contest.

Thank you for the wonderful review of my satire/humor/political post. I knew you'd get it. I was a humorist first and sometimes I default back to that as seen here. Blessings to you and yours,
Sal :))

Hahahahaha, you little devil! I'm still laughing so very hard. I loved it. I wonder if anybody from Texas get the joke. Oh, that was not a very diplomatic thing to say. Good luck!! Still love it. Ulla:)))
