Nice poem that caress the souls of your readers. Using a car and a character you show the princess side of Vivian and the human side of her chauffeur, in opposite ends and showing the humanity as two sides of the same coin. Picture was a great choice!!

Your two characters seem like... Well... Characters! :-) This was a light and fun read, which I desperately needed after reading 25,000 love poems. I did not notice any typos. :-) Thank you for sharing this. Hugs and blessings to you.

Both your description and character development are excellent, and bring Vivian and Eddie leaping off the page. However, I feel that the action is a little lame, and this means the conclusion is flawed. Using description for that part of the flash doesn't work for me I'm afraid.

He may have been here "chauffa" but she was a gracious lady, who quite obviously thought him a fitting driver for her beloved Cadillac Fleetwood sedan, beautifully written Mary, blessings Roy

I think I would enjoy vivian as well as Eddie. So often, gflamboyant characters are ridiculd and gossiped about, even feared. All the best to you in your writing.

Mary,
My, I imagine those two made quite a pair, didn't they? But I'm glad they had befriended each other and were able to help each other out - though I'm not sure what Eddie got out of it, yet. *smile*
A couple of notes for you -- remember to try not to use the same words repeatedly...
1.) Eddie was, as she put it, was her "chaufa."
--> 'was' x2
2.) He was tall and thin with matted black hair. A long thin face
--> 'thin' x2
Thanks so much!

Mary:
I was glad to read your author's notes about Vivian because I could not decide if she was eccentric, a bit daffy, or one of Ned's Dancing Pigs all dressed up for a night on the town! Good luck in the contest. I hope to
read more about Vivian at a later date.

Earlier I wrote that she
Would not drink water
because it made her gag. Her beverage of choice was beer!

What a colourful pair. This is a nifty little character drawing of the two of them. I especially like the way you describe Eddie's laugh.
One small thing:
Eddie was as she put it was her "chaufa." [suggest: Eddie was, as she put it, her "chaufa." ]
Good luck in the contest.

Well, both of them seemed to enjoy their place in society. Vivian was high falutin' so she thought, and Eddie liked showing off in the big car. But both of them had their place and each understood it. I enjoyed your contest entry. Your lines read well. Best wishes.
Respectfully, Jan
