Drinking from a well

Good story told in just six mono-rhymed lines. I liked that the well provided both the water to quench thirst even though the fingers weren't the perfect cut but with the hands and the well, a fall was averted. Best wishes in the contest!

The water in the tap in Spain is no better than 'well' water and it should not be used as drinking water. I expect if you have nothing else to drink then you have to drink it. I liked your alliteration here and hopefully you won't have a tummy ache, love Dolly x

Smiling back, with no negative symptoms from the sip from the well!

Hello anon, you have more than just followed the demands of the prompt, you have written an amusing pair of tercets - every line in good rhyme and the whole is in mono-rhyme. This is very well thought out and a good read. Good Luck in the contest. Warm regards Dorothy x

Nice rhyming and imagery in this poem. The visuals are so good I imagine myself watching that scene. Great presentation and artwork.
Good luck in the contest! Well done.

Fine use of six-way rhyme--is that a requirement of a double tercet or did you incur the challenge on your own--regardless, extra credit for the six-way rhyme!

There's many a slip between cup and lip! Cupped hands in this case! Sounds as though you had a near miss and recovered yourself with the happy outcome of a delightful little poem recording the event.

So glad you didn't fall in! You did well rhyming all six lines. I like the way you broke the two different actions into two stanzas. It helps the reader disassociate from one and associate with the other.
