What a wonderful Tribute to Joan E this is!
Lucid as well as PERFECTLY matching the theme phraseology; Enchanting flow throughout from the beginning to the end, and depicting its theme in a very NATURAL and heart touching way.
These lines are particularly noteworthy:
"...my heart is broken,
but I know for her
this is not the end, this is just the beginning."
Here lies the UNIQUENESS of the poem, and the poet as well!

I miss her...sometimes we would just chat into the night...
she loved talking about the places she went...
she did tell me that the last couple times she traveled...
it took her longer to recover...I knew RP she had been sick...
but I have been off and on the site...I didn't keep up...now I
feel so bad...she is now at peace my sweet friend...and my heart goes out to her family and her friends...she will be so missed...God Bless...love Linda xxoo

is so special to you, and how enthusiastically and nostalgically you
recalled those FS fantasy cruises here just as if it was yesterday!
I too enjoyed her travel postcards she shared with us in her
world wide travels, she was indeed the perfect tour guide! And
likewise she was always so kind and gracious with all her fans
and admirers, and indeed she had scores of dedicated fans!
Myself included, an no less saddened by her passing away!
Not many of us knew much about her, yet still she touched
each of us in her own charming, quiet way, that will linger
within us evermore! Gone now, achingly missed and loved
she will remain. Thanks again for sharing this lovely tribute!

I still can't believe she passed...I had no idea just how sick she was...being off and on like I was...I just didn't pay attention...sigh...but I do know she is now at peace...
I loved it when Michael called her Highway...and I know she did too...fit her perfect...
