Sending Thoughts to JoanE
by lyenochka
Hello, Helen,
Thank you for putting together this book in honor of JoanE. I love her and I know she has been fighting cancer since last year. I was hoping she would get better. Well done!

Oh dear, I am devastated to hear these news. You wrote a great tribute for her. I was thinking of her, that I missed her lines, lately she was writing about birds, her son building a bird cage...She and I were friend since the early 2000, she was the first one to read my poems...loyal, attentive, classy and lovable Joan E.

Thank you so much for the wonderful review, Amada. It sounds like you knew her long before me. Would you add a poem or story or memory to the book, too? I will print out the book and mail it to her husband.
Hugs!

Yes, I will write something; at his time no sure about a poem, or a short story. At this time I am having a period of dryness in my writing. Many thoughts come but they fly away...Ethereal, unreal.

Okay, no worries. I hope to send the book to her husband after he can grieve some in peace.

I haven't been on FanStory long enough to get know JoanE. She sounds like a wonderful teacher, artist, and poet. Putting together this book is such a beautiful tribute to her. I hope that many will add to it. Thanks for your thoughtfulness.

Thank you, Carol. The problem with having a site where most of us are retirees is that we lose people every year.
Thanks for reviewing!

If you can start a book up Helen, I will try to remember to add to it some. I was a fan of Joan, and she of me, and I'd visited places she had, it would be a nice gesture if we could tribute her. I'll think of something appropriate, she was pretty private. Well done, I've said a prayer fo her. Well done, blessings Roy

As always you share your heart with your pen, Helen. I don't know Joan, but I'll look into her profile, read her poems, stories, and get to know her. I'll share a moment with her in my prayers and hope that in her state she can feel the love that most FanStorians and friends have for her. Thank you for sharing.

Dear Helen, Thank you so very much for letting me know about Joan. I have been a friend of hers for most of my year on fanstory, and we would review each other faithfully, but I was not aware of her liver cancer.
Some people will let you know what is happening, and others don't. So when she stopped reviewing, I didn't want to pry too much. Let me know, when she dies! Is there any way fans like me, could comfort her husband?.

Suzanna, her husband sent me an email today letting me know she passed yesterday. If you want to write something about how special she was to you, you can add a chapter to the book and write it. I'll print off all the chapters and mail it to him. Hugs!

No, I didn't know her, but it sounds as though that was my loss. I never had the pleasure but I'm sure I must have reviewed a poem or two she wrote and she may have reviewed some of mine. The name is not new to me. I am so sorry to hear about this and will pray for her. God bless her loved ones and friends. Nancy:)

Thank you so much, Nancy! I only got to know her in the last two years. She always promoted quite high and always posted Friday night. Hugs!

Being new on here, I had not read any of her work. Sounds like she was a real asset to this site. Thank you for your great tribute to her and I pray that she will have peace and comfort.

This is such a lovely piece of writing. I appreciate it for the information about this great, talented lady--many facts I didn't know, appealingly delivered through specific details.

What a wonderful tribute to JoanE and her family, Helen. She did indeed contribute a lot to FanStory and brought definitely joy to those around her. My prayers go out to her for a peaceful passing when her time comes and to her family as they send her off with their goodbyes and blessings. I know the last part sounds a bit morbid but it's the hospice nurse in me.

Thank you, Alie. It is something that's hard for us to accept. But with the morphine made her passing easy. She passed away on Monday. Hugs!

You are so welcome, Helen. It is never easy to say goodbye but we just have to let go. I am sure she is smiling from above, protecting everyone she cared about.
