These stories the survivors tell are simply horrendous. The sexual abuse has been going on far too long. I am happy your writings are bringing this to the forefront.

I cannot believe that any one would use a young girl for satisfying men. What disturbed me is when Juliana tells about the time. "Someone grabs her and pulls her into a van. She was taken to a massage parlor and was told I either do what she told, or they'll kill her and use her baby sister instead.
This to me you deserves a six rating for telling your story so well

Thank you so much for reading my chapter and your virtual six. I'm honored you think it deserves such high marks. That is disturbing, knowing that a child isn't safe a short distance from her home. I use to walk back and forth to school every day. Play outside until dark. My only fear was coming home late. Guess the world isn't like it used to be.

This breaks my heart, because I know that each of these stories has a real-life victim. It's horrible, and I don't understand why more isn't done about it. It makes me wonder if the ones who should be putting a stop to it aren't perpetuating it. This is a story that needs to be told.

Thank you so much for reading my chapter and all your encouragement. Yes, they're all survivor's stories. They were heartbreaking for me to read, listen to, watch. There are a few judges who are actually trying to help them get out of the life, instead of prosecuting them for crimes they committed under their pimps command. That's a good start. You're right a lot more needs to be done. More education, awareness, better ways to track the trafficking sites, resources to help the ladies get out. They are passing harsher sentencing, sentence enhancements so that's a start.

This is so sad and it sounds so real. It doesn't seem fail that things like his could happen to innocent children. I you think about what might be happened at out borders it is almost too much to imagine. Your writing make it all very real. People come to his country hoping for a better way of live and what they sometimes get is a worst than the worst nightmare.

Thank you so much for reading my chapter and such encouraging words. All of these stories are taken from trafficked survivors. The child whose family was shot in front of her was actually a boy who was sent to an egg farm in Iowa. Department of Child Services didn't check on him a single time. Proses of a better life happen in other countries too. A lady from Africa was promised a job in India only to find out it was prostitution and that she owes them thousands of dollars for travel and a visa. They held onto the visa until it was paid in full. It'd expired by then.They promised to help her if she brings others over.

It's horrible. I mean, not your writing, Misty, but the stories of these young children who have known nothing but abuse in their young lives. And at the same time they feel guilty about it. It breaks my heart. Very well written. Ulla:)))

Thank you so much for reading my story and such a marvelous review. Many blame themselves. Part of this is from society blaming them the way they dress, act, being out late at night. The other is a way to deal with it, find ways to keep it from happening again. That still doesn't make it less heartbreaking.

Thank you so much for reading my chapter and such a fantastic review. I'm honored. It happens every second of every day somewhere around the world. The poor girl's are haunted by the volatile acts, their degrading words years after they're rescued. It's why so many turn to drugs or commit suicide.

Thank you so much for reading my chapter and for catching my mistake. This was a hard one to research for, to write. I wanted to show the different ways they operate. One lady was offered a job in India she got there and found it was prostitution and that she owes them money for the visa, travel etc... By the time she paid it off her visa expired. They offered to help her if she recruits others. I figure the same happens here. When The pimp was asked about a 10 year old child death, he said better her than me. I was so wishing I could reach through the computer and strangle the life out of him.
