I love the setting of the raindrop that is just "hanging by a thread" but I'm puzzled by the personification of the "aloof petal" which "flirts." It is such a contradiction that the petal who does not care is flirting. But that simple act of flirting could be the end of the raindrop. I guess love that's not sincere is precarious?

I've known people who flirt but act aloof...
it's a game that people play. The victim of such cruel game hangs by a thread never knowing when it will end... Not a good place to be. It's not rational but it's human. Thankk you very much for your review and kind words, Helen.

I thought this was a creative and enjoyable poem. I especially enjoyed the third line but the entire poem was beautiful. Wonderful word choices and you create a strong image.
