A wonderful vision of the sky at twilight -- love the transition between stars! ;) Thanx for sharing your take on this limited format and best of luck at the polls today! ;)

So pleased with this feedback Yvette! Maybe my entry will not be competing with yours (-; After the vote, I will know for sure. LOL

I really like your entry and I think it's a strong contestant in the contest.
The artwork and the color of the type, really tie it all together.
Sunburnt is a good image as we've all been sunburnt before and seen sunburnt grass, etc. I especially like the word, linger. It has such a languid, unrushed and powerful feeling about it.
Very nice job.

Cynthia,
THANKS so much for your enthusiasm for my short verse entry. Pleased my phrasing provided you such a good emotional feeling. I select my typical artwork from my go-to illustration source, FanArt.

That is where I get my artwork as well. It is a terrific collection of free images and I'm grateful we have it.

Perfect, so much feeling and a great picture painted in just a few words.
You have so depicted that time of day when everything seems quiet and peaceful.

Anne,
Perfection is often in the eye of the beholder. So pleased that you thought my overall presentation painted you such a good and peaceful feeling.
My hope is that by sometime this Wednesday, our country will have a peaceful outcome to our Election and that somehow the virus will magically disappear. The latter is most unlikely nor matter what corner we turn.

Nice little escape from the winter in a place where there is still sun:"sunburnt sky
lingers in the west
'til starlight" Thank you for sharing and good luck with the contest.

Thanks Iza,
Yes, we still have these glimpses as the Fall sunset often bursts with colors.
Thanks for your vote confidence.

I try to paint in words. I guess with your review I have achieved this. The artwork is not mine! My writing style has more syllables, typically 5-7-5.
Thanks in advance for your possible vote.

I really like how you capture the MOOD of a lingering sunset.
I especially enjoyed the image of a "sunburnt sky" and your use of alliteration. A lovely scene conveyed in only 11 syllables. Rod

Yea, I reduced my typical syllable count for this contest. Regardless, THANKS for your comments and stars.
