Very good haiku for this month! It's true that wintry weather is just "around the corner." And I like your use of alliteration in each line plus the double meaning of "haunting" both as an adjective where the branches are doing the "haunting" and also the wintry weather haunting the branches.

We had our first frost last night. People are beginning to advertise their snow plowing services. I'm not a huge fan of cold slippery roads and my days of skiing are long past... Lovely poem, but oh I wish it would stay autumnal sweater weather for a lot longer!--Karenina

It may be a 7-7 Renga contribution but it reads like my favored Haiku style. Do like the alliteration and the phrasing for your last line. Haunting artwork really completes your neat package.
