Hello boomachicka, your poem is cleverly written and very well thought out. Each word was very carefully chosen.
Good luck with the contest.

I appreciate the thought and the feeling.
But the title needs to be corrected. It is Death's Sadness or rather, The Sadness of Death. You spell Sadness with a single d.
'All the world' deeply saddened. Wow! I don't think all the world knows even about the death of great men. What is news in America is boredom in Asia and ignorance in Africa. We all live in different worlds.
What was 'the greatness lost'? Who is the person who died? Was it a father? Is it a great leader of the masses? I need to see the obituary columns.

I'm not sure who died today or if this is just to cover any one. I've not heard any news so it could be anyone. This say a lot in a few short words. God bless.

Death Sadness
In the absence of celebrity and any known figure for world concern, the presentation in spite of its brevity is clearly telling poets and writing what the message co notes. Thanks. I rate this 5

You are welcome. You got it.
Comment from Mara del Mar
Haiku excellent, it is the death of a person and associated pain and sadness that accompanies the funeral. The images are very expressive. Good luck and congratulations on a job well done.

There are many ways to say good bye. It is an emotional time and wording it right can be difficult as well. You did a very good job with this one.

Nicely done.
It pulled and gave a sadness even though the loss was not my own.
Thanks for sharing this and good luck in the contest...
