Well it looks like a tanka and may even quack like one,
but the message may not make it fly as one, if there's a satori or something expected. Nice pic, plain message.

Thank you for your review. What is the insight? Well, I prefer to let the readers offer interpretations. Of course, the title suggests she (the lady in the poem) may not find an answer.

This is one of those poems that is considerably helped by the picture accompanying it. So, one question I have is: do you, as its author, think it succeeds on its own merit.
I like its brevity; I like how it raises so many questions, including: why did he leave? Did they meet there or come together?

Odd to see a woman so beautiful and apparently self-confident start to doubt herself. Believing the outside package must have something wrong because he left. It may certainly have been something she said...but - beautiful women rarely thinks that's the case. AT=/

Well, as my dad often remarked, "when you see a beautiful women alone, just remember that some other guy got sick of her." (Sorry, that's just what this poem brought to mind - thought I share.) Really, this is a lovely, striking poem that tells a great story. "Suddenly alone" is very descriptive. Nice flow here. I enjoyed reading this. Thank you.
